Instrumental Enrichment 1 (IE-1) is the foundation course  of the Feuerstein Method. During this course, students will be introduced to the first seven Feuerstein Instruments. There are no prerequisites for this course, though students are encouraged to read about the theoretical material in advance. Please note: In some countries, IE is taught in a series of three courses (IE-1, IE-2, IE-3), rather than two.

  • Introduction to the theory of mediated learning experience

  • Analysis of deficient cognitive function in regular and special needs populations

  • Criteria and principles of mediation

  • Goal and sub-goals of the clinical and educational application of the IE program

  • IE lesson planning and preparation of "bridging" exercises

  • Comprehensive instruction in use of the first seven IE instruments
