The Feuerstein Institute is pleased to announce our newest joint venture with the Israeli Ministry of Education - the Academic Enhancement Program for Underpriveleged Children. This program will introduce the Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) program into 20 schools throughout Jerusalem and Southern Israel, providing 2,500 students from underprivileged backgrounds with the learning and thinking skills needed to succeed in today’s challenging world.
The Feuerstein Institute has long been committed to the ideal that everyone deserves to claim their rightful place in society; for children from lower socio-economic backgrounds this is made even more difficult when they do not have the education to overcome their humble beginnings. The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment Program has been proven to help children and adults of all ages, backgrounds, disabilities and etiologies enhance and attain their learning potential and thinking skills.
In the wake of Operation Cast Lead and the ongoing conflicts that plague the South of Israel, there is an even greater need than ever before to help underprivileged children close the educational gap. This joint program will provide 2,500 children with the foundation to enhancing their cognition and learning, and strengthen their ability to comprehend, understand and apply what they are taught – skills which will benefit them for a lifetime.
