The Feuerstein Institute

The Feuerstein Institute is an international education, treatment and research center, under the chairmanship of Rabbi Rafi Feuerstein. The Institute, which was founded in 1965, is home to a ground-breaking learning method which is used in educational settings and clinical practice. The Institute’s staff includes psychologists, teachers, therapists and professional staff, who help children and adults alike to achieve what had previously thought to have been impossible. These methodological tools were developed by the Institute’s founder, renowned developmental psychologist Professor Reuven Feuerstein (of blessed memory), President Rabbi Rafi Feuerstein, and the Institute staff.

The Feuerstein Institute's mission is three-fold;

  • To develop programmatic and research based paradigms based on the Feuerstein Method, which teaches systematic thinking and learning skills.

  • To influence educational systems worldwide and assist them in better preparing their students to navigate the dynamic and ever-changing world.

  • To help children and adults from all backgrounds, religions and etiologies overcome cognitive, emotional, psychological and social disabilities and maximize their potential, with a view toward integration to the greatest possible extent.
